The transport industry has seen a revolution in recent years due to the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and big data analytics, which has given rise to the concept of smart transport systems. These systems optimise traffic flow, increase safety, and boost overall efficiency by utilising data generated by Internet of Things devices and advanced analytics techniques. But putting such systems into place comes with a lot of challenges, from scalability and data integration issues to privacy and security issues. This paper offers a thorough analysis of the difficulties encountered and the strategies used in the creation and implementation of big data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) smart transport systems.
